Dubois Naval Architects has its base in the UK on the south coasts of England and was founded in 1977. Under head architect Ed Dubois, the company has designed many aesthetically pleasing and yet practically functional luxury cruising yachts. Dubois Yachts have created many of the large significant sailing yachts in navigation today: “Our aim is to produce yachts which perform their function perfectly.”
Dubois has a focus on large advanced sailing superyachts which are designed to be modern technologically advanced. The yachts are built in separately owned shipbuilding yards all over the world. In the beginning many Dubois yachts were built in Europe such as at Vitters. More recently, however, with the exception of NIRVANA, Alloy Yachts has achieved many successful launchings as well as Fitzroy Yachts, both in New Zealand. “Partnering of great design and excellence in naval architecture is at the heart of our philosophy.”
Dubois Yachts has also designed a handful of motor yachts, of which M/Y MOSAIQUE, COMO and SLIPSTREAM are of particular note. Noteworthy sailing yachts are S/Y SALPERTON, NIRVANA, TIARA and DRUMBEAT. A full list of luxury yachts Dubois yachts is listed below.
