Hatteras Yachts is an American yacht building company which has built motor yachts since the 1960s. Now Hatteras builds luxury motor yachts over 100 feet in length. Hatteras Yachts strive to consistently set industry standards for rugged yet classy yachts and superyachts that will stand up to any water and weather conditions. All of Haterras Yachts are built with solid fiberglass hull bottoms and Hatteras offers a five year warranty on all of their hulls.
Hatteras Yachts is located at 110 North Glenburnie Road, New Bern, North Carolina, USA but has dealers located around the United States and Canada, as well as Asia, Europe, Australia, and Latin America/Caribbean. You can also find Hatteras Yachts online and take a closer look at all of the sporting and luxury yachts for sale or find a Hatteras Yachts dealer near you.
Hatteras Yachts claims to have been “a tradition of invention since 1960” (as noted at the top of their website home page) with the design and build of the Knit Wit. Knit Wit was the first fiberglass hull on a sport fishing yacht and was designed to handle the rough Atlantic waters and winds off of the North Carolina coast. The response to Knit Wit was overwhelming and Hatteras Yachts was soon transformed from a boat maker to a sought after yacht designer for sport fishing yachts as well as cruising yachts.
The Hatteras 77 is being sold as a sport fishing convertible yacht, but any owner would be proud to cruise in this beauty. At just over 76’ long and 22’ at the beam, this yacht is smothered in comfortable living space and technology for the whole family to enjoy. The enclosed flybridge offers individual seating for two plus a sectional. The main deck gives buyers the option to choose the standard layout, which includes family seating and entertainment area with a dry bar, a dining nook and large galley, or the optional main deck opens the floor plan by replacing the gallery cabinetry with an island. The lower deck has three options. The three guest cabins sleep six with two queen beds and two twins. The master suite can either be include office space and a walk in closet, his and hers heads with a lounge, or it can be converted into separate crew quarters. This certainly doesn’t sound like any fishing boat I’ve ever been on, the Hatteras 77 is more like a luxury cruising yacht. But wait, if you lift the seats of the sectional, you will find fishing gear storage. Oh, now I get it!
If the Hatteras 77 is a fishing yacht, I wonder what the luxury yacht has to offer. Enter the Hatteras 110 Cockpit Motor Yacht. On the exterior this 105.5’ vessel has a very modern, contemporary look that is pleasing to the eye, and she looks fast with her aerodynamic feel and smooth lines. The flybridge is quite large with two sectional sofas and a dining table behind the three captain’s chairs. The upper deck is a large, open living/dining area with an entertainment area. The galley is oversized and enclosed and there is a separate lounge/study area beyond the galley. The lower deck offers one large king size master suite and three large, queen size guest cabins, plus a queen size captain’s suite and a twin size crew cabin, each with its own head and two in the master suite.
The interior design is elegant yet comfortable and inviting with natural wood panelled walls and plush furnishings, much of which is custom made. The Hatteras 110 is truly a luxury yacht that makes one think back to the fishing yacht and in comparison – well, never mind, the fishing yacht still seems like a luxury cruising yacht, the 110 is just so much better.
