Nautor Swan was founded in Finland in 1966 by Pekka Koskenkylä. His intention was to build the first 10m sailing yacht capable of both cruising and racing, using a fibre glass mould. Today the expansive Swan portfolio charts the journey that Nautor has travelled, from the inaugural Swan 36 to the ambitious 131.
Nautor’s Swan yachts are considered the ultimate ocean-going, performance, luxury sailing yacht of unrivalled build quality. The future continues to look bright as Nautor justifies its position at the top of the ladder both for pure luxury and for revolutionary technology with the opening of a new, hi-tech boatyard.
Nautor swan produces the yacht range 42, 45, 53, 66, 70, 75, 82, 90, 100, 112 and custom. Some of the larger swan luxury super yachts built to date includes S/Y Song of the Sea as well as Manuella and Highland Breeze.
Now Swan Yachts are often acknowledged to be the finest of all production sailing yachts and are designed to sail well and can often be considered cruiser/racers, offering luxury, comfort and performance. There have been some famous names involved in the design of the various swan models such as Sparkman & Stephens, German Frers and Ron Holland.
Nautor is composed of four neighboring complexes near Pietersaari, in Finland. Nautor Swan now employs over four hundred and seventy workers in more than 34,000 sqm of yard space. The 1000th Swan was launched in 1981 and she was a Swan 51. Owning a swan is a commonly shared ambition amongst enthusiasts of the yachting world.
